Since 2017, Pohsanten Village has become a CBT (Community Based Tourism) project managed by Applied Master in Tourism Business Planning (Matrappar) Politeknik Negeri Bali. Located in Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, this village has tourism potential, namely Mesehe waterfall, Pasatan Temple and, of course, hectares of agrocacao natural resources. The CBT center has facilities such as lodging for 36 people, an open meeting room and a restaurant.

The Pohsanten community wishes to develop tourism, especially agro-tourism for their cocoa plantations. In the past, even though there were several tourists visiting the village, these activities were not well organized. Therefore, Matrappar PNB created such a project to help villagers who want to develop tourism, so that activities are better planned and managed.

Fourth-generation (Gen4) students of Matrappar PNB made a new step, visiting the Pohsanten CBT as part of their field program. “I hope that every student implements what they have learned in class that can be applied to this project,” said

Prof. Ni Made Ernawati, Head of Tourism Department. During the 2 day and 1 night visit, they went to an agro-cocoa farm, toured the village, sampled local food, and prayed at the temple. They made observations, studied sources in the village and experienced the experience in Pohsanten which would be their project to create tourism products. With the expertise of students from various components of different industries, they will continue to develop CBT as a whole. Students also planted trees in Pohsanten Village and Penyaringan Village, which had previously experienced floods. They handed over 860 trees to the forest farmer group in Penyaringan (Danielle).
